PADDOCK ANNUALS & VEGETABLE PLANTS
We are pretty much giving growing annuals a break this year, in order to concentrate on raising perennials and shrubs for future years. In any case, they are very labour intensive and the big DIY stores, with their bulk buying power, can sell them for as much as it costs us to grow them!’

However, we can usually supply popular bedding plants in trays of 12 [or occasionally 6] on request. Some ready-planted containers may also be available: we have found these to be very popular. We may also be able to supply various organically-grown herbs – see if we have what you want.

Some tomatoes will certainly be available, and artichoke – see below.
ARTICHOKE Green Globe

Perhaps the most spectacular vegetable you can grow, this perennial will grow to some 6 feet and, from the second year on, bear large flowerheads, which can be eaten before the buds open, or you can just grow it as an architectural specimen plant.

A reliable variety of long standing for greenhouse or outdoors, producing heavy crops of shiny red standard-sized tomatoes with good flavour.

Very well-known, and rightly so. Happy indoors or out, and bearing long trusses of bite-size cherry tomatoes with the most delicious taste imaginable. Recommended - we love them!
